  • Radicalisation: The process by which individuals come to support extremism and terrorism, often leading to harmful behaviours.
  1. Responsibilities

Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO): [The ClearOrtho Ltd CEO] is responsible for overseeing safeguarding practices, providing guidance, and ensuring that all safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.

  • All Staff and Volunteers: Everyone is responsible for understanding and adhering to this policy. All staff members and volunteers are required to report any concerns related to safeguarding or radicalization to the DSO.
  1. Reporting and Responding to Concerns
  • Identification: Staff and volunteers should be vigilant and recognize signs of abuse, neglect, or radicalisation. This may include changes in behaviour, unexplained injuries, or expressions of extremist views.
  • Reporting: Any concerns should be reported immediately to the DSO, who will investigate the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Confidentiality: All reports will be treated confidentially, and information will only be shared with those who need to know in order to protect the individual involved.

The ClearOrtho Ltd is committed to providing ongoing training for all staff and volunteers on safeguarding practices and the prevention of radicalisation. Training will include:
